From the Ground Up

Being that graduation is approaching, I can only think about what will I be doing once I get my degree. It is stressful and confusing. The idea of starting my own company is not really something that goes through my mind. I just think it can be too risky, on the other hand if managed right very successful. to start a business you must have the drive and passion, I think I would be a little uneasy with so much at stake. However, the only possible way I would actually go through with starting my own business would be to have a solid product or service that I know will sell.

I need to have faith in my product or service and I would do a lot of marketing research prior to opening to see about the demand. It will be time consuming to have to go through so much research before opening, but it will allow the process to be easier knowing what the consumer is looking for. I personally know of starting a business as I watch my parents start several businesses to watch them fail, but they stuck it out and continued to strive and now they have a successful company. The road is long and hard, but there is hope.

Entrepreneurship NYC, I believe can be rough with so much of everything already present among the five boroughs. Your store has to have great quality with people willing to spend enough for quality, also I believe location will also be difficult, because NYC is so diverse one needs to know who their target market is and if they are in the surrounding area. Another difficulty will be starting up. NYC is very expensive and rent alone will take a lot out of someone. Its a hit or miss and someone who is willing to go through it for either one must have the ambition and the strength cause I sure don't think I can do it.
