Career Path

Being that I will be graduating in less then 3 months it is definitely a good time to start thinking about the future. In doing so I really feel that my path is still up in the air. I would like to have a job post graduation in either marketing or finance. But I can not seem to narrow which field I want to get into. I am a Marketing Major but have financial experience which leads me to be heavily recruited by financial companies. Either way I would like a position that I can enjoy and have room for promotion. I know I will have to start at the bottom, I guess I will choose which field to go into base on the appeal. Within a year I plan on moving into Manhattan, developing my career in either field, and just enjoy what I think will be the beginning a my life.

In five years I would like to have received my MBA in possibly Retailing as I suddenly developed an interest into it or in an area that will at least further my career. I am very career oriented and I hope that I can manage a balance by this point. Five years I see myself having moved up in my position and continuing to grow in my education.

As in ten years, that is a little difficult for me because I am used to just thinking of my life in shorter time frames such as a month from now or a year but ten is a stretch. What I would like by ten years is to have found a job that I can actually say I enjoy and have a strong passion for. I want to be happy of the choices I have made by this mark and not be a the top and dread every moment of it.
